BRINGING GOOD FOOD AND GAMES TO STOCKTON-ON-TEES

Established in 2015, Game On is a family run, start up business. We have a real passion for all types of games and hope to provide a friendly and welcoming atmosphere to all of our customers.

We are Stockton's first and only Gaming Cafe committed to bringing you retro computer games, a wide range of the latest board and card games at the best prices around and now Games Workshop models and games!

What's more, we also offer plenty of tables spread across two floors for you to sit and play any of our games whilst enjoying one of our speciality tea or coffees and a bite to eat.

Why not follow our Facebook page

Our Story

In 2015 we started our little business with 7 faulty megadrives and a soldering iron!

We repaired those consoles and sold them on, using the profits to buy new stock and never looked back. In August 2015 we had enough stock to set up our own little shop inside the premises of another local business and Game On! Retro was born. It wasn’t easy, requiring us to work six days a week in the shop and delivering chinese food four nights a week to make ends meet, but our passion and determination kept us going until the business was at a point where we could expand and secure a shop of our very own.

In August 2017 we moved onto Stockton High Street. Expanding the business to include a cafe, we added card and board games to our retro computer games and the gaming cafe was born! We wanted to create a place where gamers of all ages could come and feel welcome, play games and enjoy a bite to eat.

We’ve come a long way from our humble beginnings and the work hasn’t finished yet, as we endeavour to create an atmosphere that matches the warmth of the community and the quality of the food and drink.

We would like to thank all of our friends and customers who have supported us and other local businesses over the years. We would be nowhere without you and a very special thank you to our friends at Tea@Hart in Hartlepool whose help, support and friendship has been and continues to be invaluable.
